Metal Projects
Stone work is messy, so I made another carving table that I leave outside.   Its all metal construction makes it nice and sturdy.  I have casters on this as well for easy maneuvering  and a hook for my face shield, as well as a container for my files and rasps.
This is another one of my designs that I made for my welding needs.  It features a metal grate top and all angle-iron frame with inset metal sides.  The metal grate top allows all of the slag to fall down away from your work as well as a great place to hold tools and the ground for my welder.  The advantage of using the angle-iron as a frame and insetting the side panels, is that it contains all slag from the cutting torch inside without it falling to the floor and causing a fire hazard.

I also have a door for easy access to clean out the slag as well as for storage when I am not welding.  You will notice a piece of angle-iron on the inside of the door, this serves as a cover from the hot metal falling inbetween the door and the table.

I also made some dogs that you can see on the right so I can hold metal steady or use it to help square up my work.
This is my sheet metal bender that I made for my welding table.  I made it so that I can bolt it down to the table for stability.  You can see the angle iron on the right with the black star knobs.  This is where I slide my sheet metal through and clamp it down.  I also added black 90 degree lines on the platform to keep the sheet metal square.  Once you clamp it down you will grab the handles and lift up until the two angle irons come together to form your bend.  This part is attached with 2 heavy duty hinges.9
Here is a picture of the 45 degree angle attachments that I made.  This one was basically done out of two angle irons that form the desired degree.
This is an example of it bending a 24 gauge piece of sheet metal at 45 degrees.  If you have any questions about how I made it, just drop me a message.
